I think the entire wall could be built with mostly all volunteer labor. A lot of people know how to operate heavy machinery and build forms etc. If the Govt supplied the equipment and the Army Corp of Engineers the base workforce we citizens could do the bulk of the work. That would REALLY send a message. A labor of love.

If we could get congress to enact a civilian wall corps, have a 3 month service period, prevent you from losing your regular job (like the national guard), pay basic transportation and housing costs and a minimum wage I would do this in a nanosecond. What an idea!

Wonder if there’s some way to buy a brick and get it engraved in honor of a loved one? Like they do for fundraisers at historical memorials and sidewalks and such.

Think I would put the names of my LEGAL IMMIGRANT ancestors.
