I’ve never had trouble with it other than few quirks within spreadsheets but then I don’t use it too intensely - i use postgres or mysql instead of access.

Ive never had trouble with it other than few quirks within spreadsheets but then I dont use it too intensely - i use postgres or mysql instead of access. The issue comes in where you take a complex spreadsheet (like financial analysis ones for work) that were created in Excel and try to run them in Calc. Agreed that ones created in Calc generally work well. It's just the interoperability that's the issue.
