The only one he won’t win over is the government service union. That can be crushed by simply reducing government jobs and size.

Issue a cancellation of Kennedy's Executive Order 10988 which allowed government unions.

“Leadership advocated positions that went against the interests...”

There is a presumption that union leadership is strongly related to union membership...that employees banded together and decided to become a union shop and have somebody advocate for them.

In reality, as bizzare as it sounds, union ‘leadership’ acts as an outside 3rd party, interfering with the employer/employee relationship. Sometimes its done forcibly, and the soon to be ‘union members’ actually have no desire to be unionized at all (I believe this is happening with home health care workers and volunteer firemen currently). The ‘union leadership’ interest is self-enrichment.

It seems to me that such action can’t accomplish much because:

1. Kennedy’s order applied only to FEDERAL employee unions. It doesn’t have anything to do with employee unions at the state and local levels — and it’s precisely at those levels where there are huge problems.

2. Even though Kennedy’s order allowed federal employees to join unions, and even though that right was later enshrined in congressional legislation, the federal unions have never been empowered to engage in collective bargaining over wages, pensions, etc. They can bargain only over personnel policies.

3. Anyway, to cancel federal employees’ union rights, Congress would need to pass new legislation. A presidential order alone can’t do the job.

What do Trans Rights and 'Reproductive Health' (abortion) have to do with the everyday jobs of AFSCME and SIEU members?

Exactly. That's how you split the unions off from the dems, and sell it to their leadership. Most rank-and-file union members want nothing to do with all the cultural marxism that's been baked into union politics for so long. Want to grow your membership? Stop hanging out with the losers on the other side of the aisle. Stop pushing all their moonbat causes, and slide a little to the right where most decent hard-working people default to socially and politically.

Labor rights are a good thing in proper context and degree. Trade unions can actually be a positive influence and keep the US from devolving into a 3rd world country. Done properly, they foster pride, safety and professionalism in the trades. They help the economy grow by helping to ensure that your average Joe/Jane Sixpack will have enough dough in his/her pocket to purchase goods, services, and property.

I'm sure at least some of these people would like nothing more than to ditch the hardcore commie whackos they're forced to throw their lot in with. All Trump needs to do is show that he genuinely meant it, and there's a seat saved for them at the table if they want it.
