I’ve read quite a lot of Twain over the years, but I can’t remember seeing that quotation. Can you give me a citation that I can verify, or is it just the usual Internet BS that someone made up and attributed to Twain?
Also, Mark Twain would never have spelled “idiocy” with a t, but I’m willing to let that go as a typo.
