Barack Obama has pledged to bring change to America in his first 100 days. Here the Daily Telegraph monitors his progress: His first phone calls as president were made to leaders in the Arab world.

Day Two: January 22
HIs (Obama) second day was spent marking a strong departure from many of President Bushs policies. President Obama signed an executive order stating that the prison at Guantanamo Bay would be closed within the year.
He (Obama) also ordered the closings of secret CIA ghost prisons and the cessation of advanced interrogation techniques. In addition, George Mitchell was assigned special Middle East envoy to help tackle the strife in Gaza.

Day 2
These were careless mistakes. They were avoidable mistakes. But they were unintentional. I should have been more careful."
Timothy Geithner, Treasury Secretarynominee, apologizing for owing $34,000 in payroll and Social Security taxes from 2001 and 2002 at his Senate confirmation hearing
"For a long time now there's been too much secrecy in this city. Transparency and rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency."
President Obama, at a swearing-in ceremony for senior officials before announcing new ethics rules
Then he took 4 days off to golf.
Quite a contrast: suck up to Muzzies; make it more difficult to defend America.
Fortunately Obama spent most of his time golfing and watching basketball. Had he not be so lazy, he might have done even more damage to the country.
Your Majesty King Abdullah, the first phase of operations is complete!
Does everyone now understand why the founders put the natural born citizen clause in there to prevent people with divided loyalties from becoming President?
That picture in the story of Obama practicing (and who has to practice holding his right hand up?) for being sworn in make Obama look like a cigar store muslim.
Trump already beat Obama in effectiveness, since Trump is actually moving the ship in the right direction!
LOL - yeah, that’s crazy - practicing holding up his right hand.
ABC News was pathetic tonight gloating that Trump won’t have as many of his cabinet confirmed the first week as Obie did.
“and who has to practice holding his right hand up?”
Somebody about to be sworn in who’s never touched a bible before?
You’ll recall that, for all that practice, Øbongo still fumbled the swearing in.
Obama reversed a policy that restricted federal aid to be delivered to organisations that promote or provide abortions overseas. George Bush reversed Clintons similar policy 8 years prior.
The president nominated former defence lobbyist William Lynn as Deputy Secretary of Defense as unmanned American drones killed 18 in a series of missile attacks on the Pakistani side of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
In the meantime . . . President Trump
Day 1 to 3
U.S. and coalition forces bombed the Islamic State 31 times on Saturday
Abandons Trans-Pacific Partnership, Obamas Signature Trade Deal
Reinstated a policy on Monday that originated in the Reagan era, prohibiting the granting of American foreign aid to health providers abroad who discuss abortion as a family-planning option.
Institutes an executive order freezing all federal government hiring except for the military, national security and public safety
Meets with Trade Union leaders (most who backed Clinton)
Meets with Business Leaders stating:
Wants to cut regulations 75 percent
Threatens leaders with a border tax
Challenges them to write a jobs proposal within 30 days
Talks about plans to move US Embassy to Jerusalem
Tells China no more expansion international territorial waters
What a difference . . . MAGA
The most welcomed change in the first 10 days of a Trump presidency in my opinion is: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3516663/posts
Very subtle - I almost didn’t catch that.
You forgot the first three months before he was even sworn in.
You make a good point. Important issues were addressed and decided upon. Decisions made during that period, arguably can be said were negotiated with input from numerous sources with assorted ideology.
This excercise (First 100 days), trying to keep it a little bit simple. As president, Commander In Chief . . . the person is fully expressing their values. Putting their actions side by side, I believe a clear picture will evolve of the differences between . . . .
