Malia Obama, the oldest of former President Obamas daughters, is set to intern for Hollywood super-producer Harvey Weinstein this winter. Malia, 18, will begin her internship at the New York City offices of The Weinstein Co. in February, the New York Post reported.
The eldest Obama daughter is currently headed to Palm Springs, Florida with her family to began a vacation. The former First Family boarded Executive One, the civil aircraft for former U.S. presidents, Friday after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States.
President Obama relied heavily on Weinstein during both of his presidential campaigns.
Weinstein attended a Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen-led benefit concert for then-Senator Barack Obamas presidential campaign in October 2008. The Oscar-winner mega-producer was also among Obamas biggest bundlers in 2012.
In 2013, Obama praised Weinstein and his wife for their friendship and support, and for the amazing movies that theyve made.
Malia has expressed some interest in film-making, the former first lady told People in 2012. Just like her father, she is an avid reader, and she enjoys movies.
Malia spent time in the summer of 2015 interning for Lena Dunhams HBO series Girls.
Shes a fan, and she mentioned that to Lena [Dunham] when she came to the White House, one source close to the production told Us Weekly. Im not sure how long shell be interning for. Its a bit of a trial thing for her. Theyve known each other and discussed for a while. Lena and her get along great.
Malia Obama is set to attend Harvard University in the fall of 2017.

Hmmmm......
Malia before and after!
Despise Barack and Michelle Obama. But I wish the press — on both sides — would leave the kids alone. (This does not apply to Michelle because she put herself out there.)
Maybe Malia has some real interest and skills in the space. Maybe she does not. Let her sink or swim on her own.
And yes, maybe Daddy helped her get this gig. But that’s what Dad’s are supposed to do.
The press is also going after Melania and their son Barron. I find that equally repulsive.
Leave the kids (yes, Malia is 18, but still a kid) and family members alone!
Just my opinion.
any screenshots from the football game, holie?
In fact, encouraged to secede!
Dads*
The last thing l’d want for a daughter is to have her work with Harvey and his vampire friends. I’m sure the orders are hands off but good luck with that. The Rat pipeline to the news and entertainment industry keeps the Dems viable.
Baron is autistic..?
Turn around is fair play.

No, New York.
She’ll probably get an Apartment at Trump Tower. LOL
shes 18 and smoking weed on camera at a public park in front of secret service. she should have been arrested
The Obama’s love attention. Positive or negative, doesn’t really matter. They managed to stay out of the press yesterday (not really) but that’s about as far as it goes.
Didn’t hear them complaining even when Malia’s twerking was reported.
Obama’s will exploit anyone.
The writing here is horrible. She isn’t his oldest or eldest daughter, she’s his older daughter or elder Obama daughter if you must. They aren’t in FLORIDA, because Palm Springs is in CALIFORNIA. Palm Beach is in Florida. Mistakes like this are totally unnecessary.
If she didn’t have a coughing jag after she puffed on that Doobie, it wasn’t the first time she ever took a draw.
Just sayin’
The apple does not fall far from the tree....
Fair enough. And agree.
But kids don’t get to pick their parents. I won the “parent lottery,” but have many friends who did not.
That’s why kids should be “off limits” until and unless they insert themselves into the limelight,
Used to be that way. Now the kids and spouses apparently are “fair game” for the media on both sides.
Again, just my opinion.
Slag.
