Slow development of your story may be ok for folks raised on 3 TV channels, but if you want to try to influence the digital generation, you’re going to need to catch them in the first five seconds. You’ve go a bit longer with folks that were raised with TVs with remote controls, but if you are aiming to have people sit for a static screen for almost a minute, you are really targeting folks who remember how difficult it was to re-tune pre-transistor radios.
Maybe a 5 second slide where ‘Lügenpresse’ dissolves into ‘CNN’, then flash to the picture and compare it to the mainstream media.
