The money quotes:

What a difference that interpolation makes.

So you can see that much of the claims of “global record heat” hinge on interpolating the Arctic temperature data where there is none. For example, look at this map of Global Historical Climatological Network (GHCN) coverage:

The DMSP spacecraft has been measuring every cubic kilometer of space since the 1960’s. It has recorded a cooling of about 0.02°, not a warming.

Global warming was nothing but a buzzword in the 1980’s to get grant money when the Ozone Hole was the rage. We banned CFC and other chemicals to close that hole and yet it remains as big as ever. So much for Luddites demanding man be banned from Earth.
