I’m not a soldier. I can carry whatever I wish. I just think a US-made weapon would be more fitting. That’s a US company not getting a contract. I may be wrong, but SIG is German made, is it not?
And FYI, the 7.62x39 is my favorite round. About 20 hogs, 6 deer, coyotes, etc, some at ranges in excess of 300 meters speaks for itself. If your AK is a quality build, from a reputable plant, and if your scope is tight and right, you will hold 8” groups at 400 meters all day, every day, any day.
