There must have been great institutional resistance to closing Gitmo’. Interesting that Dicktater Hussein couldn’t get it done in 8 years.
It was illegal to transfer them stateside and some of them, like KSM, are simply too dangerous to release.
He was never going to be able to close it.
Nor should he.
We need a detention facility like it somewhere and Gitmo is perfectly situated.
