Yukon Oklahoma
Quasi southern
Unlike Texas the further west you go in Oklahoma the less Reb it gets
You can stand in Texline TX and know it’s Dixie
Cross over to Clayton New Mexico and its Yankees with a splatter of southern talk
in Oklahoma once past El Reno southerners fade quick and it gets more like eastern colorado fast
But eastern half Oklahoma is very very southern God bless em
Baloney. Oklahoma is the only state where EVERY SINGLE county went red in the last 2 presidential elections. The panhandle (western-most part of the state) is extremely conservative.
Not sure about ‘Reb’, but conservative and Republican - western part of the state definitely is.
I guess not being from OK and TX I would assume most is southern but I am wrong. But it is a lot like Louisiana. New Orleans with the black population and colleges, is democrat/liberal while Metairie is a suburb is conservative.
I am SO glad I live in a conservative part of LA!
