How about stop being a commie rag in America, doesn’t make marketing sense.
I would have guessed they already installed transgender restrooms over at the times?
Only way to survive, they should Hire Trump and pay his tweeter account.
I remember years ago...maybe 30 years...when the New York Times was a respected newspaper. Now it’s unfit for birdcage liners
“while maintaining a commitment to high-quality journalism”
Therein lies the problem. They have not even approached that standard in a very long time. It probably should have read ‘adherence to the party line and the propagation propaganda.’
There! fixed it
There is no need in today’s world for the Ny Slimes, Compost, La Raza Times or any other sanctuary city’s left wing fish wrap.
Any company that buys ads in any of the above fish wraps, needs to be told by their board members to stop wasting precious money on worthless ads.
I remember reading almost the exact same NYT study with the same conclusions several months ago, and NYT did not implement a single one of the recommendations. (Among other things, I remember they recommended opening comments for ALL articles and that NYT should consider stationing some of their “journalists” in the hinterlands as one means of breaking up their inherent liberal, NY City bias.)
I think NYT must commission one of these “what must we do to survive” internal reports every year or so, and the new team simply dusts off the last report, change it a bit, and present it to management, which then promptly ignores it.
“The Times and other news organizations are also bracing for the challenges of covering an administration that is openly hostile to the news media, while trying to forge a stronger connection to the large bloc of voters who swept Mr. Trump to the presidency.”
ROTFLOL!
I had no idea the NYT had such a subtle sense of humor!
Most important, it affirms The Timess commitment to its subscriber-based revenue model We are, in the simplest terms, a subscription-first business, the report says. We are not trying to maximize clicks and sell low-margin advertising against them. We are not trying to win a page-views arms race.
Among the reports recommendations is to improve and expand The Timess training efforts and accelerate hiring to shift the balance away from print-focused roles.
[Cognitive dissonance?]
Maybe they’ll move to Mexico to cut costs.
Maybe they want to report more on the poop culture.....uh, pop culture....but really it is the poop culture!! The left has DIRTIED everything they have touched!
FTA: “...to conduct a review of the newsroom and determine a blueprint for its path forward. Titled Journalism That Stands Apart...”
Single line: tell the truth
Who, What, Where and Why
“...conduct a review of the newsroom and determine a blueprint for its path forward. Titled Journalism That Stands Apart,
They could start by telling the truth. That’d help them stand apart.
