Not to get off on a wild tin foil hat ride, but there HAVE been at least a couple of ELE’s that are pretty common in our culture.

The first is “The Flood.” The Flood is a standard part of just about every culture going back ages.

The second is the “Atlantis” stories.

Thirdly, the Hopi have stories going back through several extinction events.

Extinction myths are actually pretty common among the cultures of the world. The problem is that most of them do not track well with Christian beliefs.

There is evidence all over the world of civilizations from more than 10,000 years ago. But if you discuss them on forums like this, burning at the stake is pretty much a given.

The Judeo-Christian viewpoint unabashedly puts God first.

Other viewpoints might massage the story because the leading lights are mortal.

Just want to give a perspective here.
