I live down here. Seen them this large and larger. Years ago, there use to be one at Bush Gardens that was over 14 feet long. His mouth was big enough to stretch out in.

This guy probably just ate. He wouldn’t pose any danger. Most gators are scared of humans, unless provoked. They can run fast, but only short distances. Stay away from thier tail.

Had one destroy my cooler fishing in the everglades once. I was on the opposite bank, cooler had fish in it. Had to chase him off. Been cases of people chased up a tree. A gator can’t climb, of course, but he’s got nothing better to do but sit there and wait you out.
