Hmmmmm.
Let's take that one at a time.
First of all, if avocados hit the new world, it must have happened hundreds of thousands years ago. It is considered native to the Western hemisphere.
Second, avocadoes are a most versatile fruit.
When my daughter was in High School, her friends (girl's H.S.) were all grossed out when she first showed up with a sandwich of her own creation : Boiled egg/avocado sandwich.
By the end of the year, she had to bring several each time by request and could have sold a bunch if she had been so inclined.
Speaking for myself, a common quick snack meal, specially on weekends, used to be mixed rice/avocado with mayo or light dressing of choice.
I always love how outraged avocado fans get when someone dares to slam that dull little fruit. Next, you’ll be telling me kiwi is brilliant.
“Boiled egg/avocado sandwich.”
Add bacon to that sammich and invite me over!!
