I did a title search, full and partial (100 char limit) and keyword search?
Usually the title search finds it? Same title, same everything???

Maybe FR can claw back some bits and photons?

My technique is to search from the MAIN page.
It seems to yield more comprehensive results. I used "geek" and got these threads:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/search?q=quick&m=all&o=time&s=Geek&find=Find

It is no big deal at all, yet my guess is Free Republic saves a few pennies with minimized duplicate threads. :-)
