FULL TITLE: Bohemian Rhapsody Played On A 100-Year-Old Fairground Organ | Youve Never Heard Anything Like This
Bohemian Rhapsody Will Never Be Heard The Same Way, Again
If you were to make a list of rock songs that should be given a 5-Star rating, there are many songs that should be included. Stairway To Heaven, Hotel California, Thunderstruck, Dream On, Welcome To The Jungle, and many others. But there is one song that truly stands out amongst them all and that song is Bohemian Rhapsody. Written by legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, this is a song that is still revered by many as one of the (if not THE greatest rock song of all time. It is a song that is classically inspired yet years ahead of its time. With its iconic harmonies and astonishing guitar work, this song deserves its own induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
Since its release, the song has been covered in just about every possible way imaginable. Whether its acapella, or piano, or even bluegrass, you name it, its been done. But have you ever heard this song played back on a 100-year-old Fairground Organ. Chances are that you havent, but thats about to change and for the better, might I add! What youre about to watch is the aforementioned get played back on the aforementioned instrument. Its beautiful and if youre like me and have a fear of all things circus/clowns/fair etc, quite creepy. Nevertheless it is simply beautiful. Dont believe me? See for yourself!

And yet, Ill bet Im not the only old programmer here that remembers paper tape (considered by some a cut above punch cards).
Somewhere I’ve still got several rolls of punch tape that were printed out on an ASR-33 Teletype that was hooked up to an Altair 8080.
BTW, I am also a big Freddie Mercury fan!
Electric Avenue.
Gives me chills to this day.
Ask your bro’ if he knows of Foley-Baker Inc. in Tolland, CT.
Reason why I ask, is I have had the distinct honor to be at organ recitals in Mike Baker’s home. Quite an incredible instrument.
Sorry. That post should read “Mike Foley.”
I clicked on the link and the site tried to deliver a virus to my phone.
(over a year later) not my favorite song, by a long shot, but this is pretty interesting. And the use of a player roll in an organ was previously unfamiliar to me, so, kudos!

However, Lake Street Dive knocks it out of the park with their arrangement.
