New Orleans Po’Boys most notably Roast Beef or oyster po’boys. Russel’s Short Stop has some good ones, but there are many others as well.

One of Iowa's lesser-known sandwiches is a turkey and dressing sandwich peculiar to certain areas. Yep, it is meat and bread on... more bread. When I first heard of such a thing, I was aghast, but I have one every now and then (NOT around Thanksgiving if I can help it). There is a little market in Dubuque ("Cremer's") that sells them year-round.

Uh, somebody’s travels are a little revealing. Austin, New Orleans and Miami are the only southern locales. The rest are typical fare for limited northeasterners who are apparently afraid they’ll fall off the edge of the earth if they go into, for them, uncharted territory. Aiiiyeee, there they be dragons, lol.

No 19 at Langer’s Deli in los Angeles. It is a perennial on almost all lists. How did they forget it?

7. Cheesesteak at Donkeys Place in Camden, NJ
I’m sure it is delicious but it has the wrong kind of bread and the wrong cheese for a true Philly Cheesesteak...
Gino’s in Philly or Gitano’s in Jersey are the best...

Not to be provincial, but Primanti’s in Pittsburgh always makes these type lists, but instead they have a sandwich from San Fran that’s made “Pittsburgh style” which is a Primanti knockoff.

Mom’s baked beans and mayo on white bread. A guilty pleasure from childhood that Mom’s family ate growing up in the great depression.
