You know, we’re all having so much fun counting down the days til Obama’s gone, I hadn’t even paused to give a thought to how the countdown is going on the liberal side.

Turning my empathic radar in their direction, I detect a gathering dread and sense of great loss. The growing woe is palpable, and worry is a constant companion. The awful day approaches, remorselessly grinding toward them, like some mechanized, gargantuan, behemoth. Fear and panic builds with every passing day, as the realization that Trump is coming, sets like hardening concrete in their minds.

The days of gleeful mocking and casting disdain upon the knuckle dragging, Neanderthal right wing, seems like a dim and hazy memory. Those carefree, joyous days of hedonistic expression, when all signs pointed to the permanent ascension of their liberal ideals, seems like a wonderful dream that reality rudely ended.

And so they walk with their heads held low, watching the gathering gloom fill the hearts and minds of all their friends. He is coming, and they fear him. Their beloved messiah, cast away, and banished to impotence and irrelevance. He cannot protect them now.

Me - I’m smiling and whistling a happy tune :-)
