I followed it as it unfolded....early teens for me
And read Helter Skelter in 74 I think
Manson and maybe even the guys to a degree
But the delight in evil beyond comprehension the women undertook ....girls really
It shook folks to the core
The Manson family was going on just up the road from me when I was in high school. I knew a couple of kids who were part of it. Not the murders, just the general craziness up in Hollywood. Lost kids from bad homes looking for something to belong to was my impression.
