If anybody wants on/off the revolutionary progressivism ping list, send me a message

Progressives do not want to discuss their own history. I want to discuss their history.

Summary: "Imperialism" is often a charge leveled outwardly, yet the evidence points inward for progressives.

Wilson had a stroke and was too sick to be president for nearly half his term.
His wife, Edith, took over and ran the country during this period. Back then there were no provision for temporary power transfer if the president was incapacitated. The VP could only assume power if the president died, so Edith was the first female president.

"...almost have wished that my opinions were different that I might join their ranks.

ALMOST...! That's KEY. Poor people are a QUAINT CONCEPTS to elites.

They loudly laud po' folks to signal their own virtue, that way they can be rich AND better, not just rich.

Thus, Zuckerberg buys all surrounding houses of THOSE STINKY PEOPLE, builds a wall but then showers 3rd World Dreamers with extravagant plaudits.
