The intelligence services sure have been leaky lately.

Who needs hacks when they leak so much so conveniently to Wapo and the NYT?

I remain skeptical. There is no way they’re going to reveal even that they’ve conversations recorded of gloating Russians. For all we know they have recordings of drunk Russkies telling jokes at a bar.

Just leaking these reports has to have high level approval. Otherwise you’d see Obama and the IC condemning the leaks and unleashing Lynch to prosecute the leakers.

When the CIA redid talking points for Benghazi at the State Department’s bidding in 2012 to make the attack “spontaneous, not terrorism”, they lost credibility and show that they will do anything to twist the truth for political purposes.

There’s always motives for these things, and I think it’s to make a stink for Trump to hamstring him. Politics.

The CIA et al need a thorough scrubbing. They’ve become the epitome of a politicized and ineffective government bureaucracy.
