In reference to the horrendous number of homicides in Chicago and President Barack Obama’s practice of dividing people by race, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke said Black Lives Matter never marches in Chicago and Obama, for eight years, has been rubbing “white people’s nose in the stain of slavery” because he cannot let the issue go, and wants America to wallow in racial division. […]

“He’s about 150 years removed from slavery,” said the sheriff. “Nobody said ‘forget about it’, but you have to be able to move on at some point. And he will not allow America to do that. And until he leaves the White House, we are going to continue to have to put up with his nonsense. People are tired of it. They proved it on November 8. Latinos, black people, white people, and other ethnicities have said ‘we’ve had enough of this racial divide in America’, and they really want to move on from it. But this president will not allow them to do that.” …

Full title: Sheriff Clarke: For 8 Years Obama Has ‘Rubbed White Peoples’ Nose in the Stain of Slavery’ — He Can’t Let Go

That would be because Obama is like that first black man that made chattel slavery the norm in the USA, maybe?

Also, because invoking the memory of slavery has proven to be profitable as well as an effective means of advancing the Leftist agenda.

For 8 Years Obama Has 'Rubbed White Peoples' Nose in the Stain of Slavery'

And from which of the world's great religions come the folks who sold them into slavery?

I suppose it depends upon what you mean by "is".

Until? Obama has promised he's sticking around and we are going to have to put up with his nonsense for a long long time.

To all the baiters and haters out there:

My ancestral background has nothing to do with your prejudice! There are plenty of actual slavers in the world at this present time who need your undivided attention. Get a clue!

There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.

I am not responsible for what my distant ancestors did to anyone.

I also cannot be credited for anything they did FOR anyone.

We all stand on our on.

the thing about racism is ... it only promotes more racism.

if you have a black muslim racist pushing an agenda... it will only produce anti-black and anti-muslim sentiment.

thanks 0bama. once again, he’s proven anything he touches turns to crap

Gotta get past the slavery thing, most folks in the USA came after it. If we kept strict records of previous generations I would say somewhere along the line each and everyone of us probably had an ancestor who was a slave. The Romans captured many, and most of the ancient empires had them, even the Vikings and the Chinese. We have a group of people today that are the unskilled, uneducated, school drop outs who feel they are being discriminated against because they can’t attain the American dream. They never suffered under slavery, their ancestors may have, but none today actually experienced it. Its like saying my great, great, grand father was killed by a confederate soldier in 1863, and I want to be compensated today in 2016 for the pain and suffering of my ancestor. Really? My mother’s family was probably descended from Roman slaves, I’m sure they didn’t get reparations, they moved on over the centuries and ended up as royalty somewhere along the line. (The prefix “Di”.) They sure as hell weren’t aristocrats when they arrived here in 1909, but grandpa was a skilled brick layer and put 4 of his kids through college. Clarke is correct, you can’t use Slavery as an excuse from 150yrs ago to get free stuff today. In the long run, when you get free stuff it usually doesn’t have the value of the stuff you have worked to earn.

I have more faith in people than some people and I think that when Obama speaks on a news program, viewers will turn off reflexively. He has no power, but the power to annoy. That will be apparent right away. Nobody likes a Cassandra, and that is what he plans on being. I suppose “Chicken Little” is more appropriate for him, since it has slight implications of homosexuality and his frail frame.

Never let a Latin American ever lecture you about slavery, especially Mexicans. New Spain—as Mexico was then called—probably had more enslaved Africans than any other colony in the Western Hemisphere. Blacks were present as slaves of the Spaniards as early as the 1520s. Over the approximately three hundred years it lasted, the slave trade brought about 200,000 Africans to the colony. Many blacks were born in Mexico and followed their parents into slavery. Not until 1829 was the institution abolished by the leaders of the newly independent nation.

Below is the timeline of when other countries in America ended slavery:

1813: In Argentina, the Law of Wombs was passed on 2 February, by the Assembly of Year XIII. The law stated that those born after 31 January 1813 would be granted freedom when contracting matrimony, or on their 16th birthday for women and 20th for men, and upon their manumission would be given land and tools to work it. Slavery finally ends in 1853.

1814: Uruguay, before its independence, declares all those born of slaves in their territories are free from that day forward.

1819: Upper Canada: Attorney-General John Robinson declares all black residents of Canada free.

1821: Gran Colombia (Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama) declares free the sons and daughters born to slave mothers, sets up program for compensated emancipation.

1823: Chile abolishes slavery.

1831: Bolivia abolishes slavery.

1847: The last slaves in the Swedish colony Saint Barthelemy are freed. So Sweden effectively had slavery until that date.

1848: Slavery abolished in all French and Danish colonies. So France and the Denmark had slavery until that date.

1853: Argentina abolishes slavery when promulgating the 1853 Constitution.

1854: Peru abolishes slavery.

1854: Venezuela abolishes slavery.

1873: Slavery abolished in the Spanish colony of Puerto Rico.

1886: Slavery abolished in Cuba.

1888: Brazil enacts the Golden Law, decreeing the total abolition of slavery with immediate effect.

Me too... Sheriff Clarke cares deeply about the black community - but in a way that offers dignity and hope. Real dignity... not the 'pity party' stuff offered by liberal elites who want blacks dependent, scared and on the democrat plantation...
