ANY dog (even cats in some cases) can be dangerous.

Pit Bulls get a bad rap. It’s not the breed, per se. More Pit Bulls than any other breeds are raised and trained to be fight dogs.

Some of these dogs may never be suitable as pets. MANY STILL ARE!

It’s the individual dog, period.

Of course, dog breeds do have particular traits to their breeds. Hunting dogs, for example.

Being just plain “mean” isn’t one of them.

Pits were bred to fight without emotion to the death. Clearly that trait expresses itself sometimes.

Pits aren’t being “mean” when their destroy instinct kicks in after a certain trigger. They’re just doing what they were bred to do.

You just shouldn’t have them unleashed near anything alive you don’t want dead
