Hey...I have been there too, out of control, etc. When I see guys in a state like that, I roll my eyes and think “Just guys being stupid, as we sometimes are...” but when I see women like that, it bothers me. I do expect women to be a civilizing force for us men.

Yes. I do put women on a pedestal in that respect. I think women compliment men in many ways (and vice versa) and this is one of the ways I think women do that. Men can be rough, uncivil, and yes, stupid. And for many men, a good woman can keep them on the straight and narrow.

Nowadays, it seems like women are advocating for the right to be as stupid as we sometimes are.

Sigh. I know...I am just getting crittery about stuff like this as I get older. What can I say...

Our Puritan Heritage puts women on a pedestal. If you read English Social History this type of behavior is common.

There are many stories with this as the theme, not the least of them "Beauty and the Beast. Female suffrage was sold at least partly on the principle that women's higher moral standards would lead to better elected officials (we see how that worked out of course).

A major goal of feminism is to make women equal to men in all respects, including unfortunately in this respect as well.
