Don't know if it's the same technology but my car radio has “HD Radio” capabilities.When it works properly it's pretty good but it often fades in and out...even near major cities (Boston/NYC).The car's German and the radio was standard so I assume it's about as good as is available today (or in 2014 to be exact).

It’s similar technology, but DAB apparently has lower audio quality and isn’t approved by the FCC.

Keep in mind that the “HD” in HD Radio doesn’t mean “high definition”, though that’s what you are supposed to think. It really is just a trade name that means nothing in terms of the technology.
