Darwin Award nominee Jose Vaca, 29, may be in a jail cell, but he is lucky to be alive.
Vaca was driving through Bakersfield, CA, on December 19th when he and a friend were pulled over by police. The convicted felon had a rifle in the car with him and he decided to use the traffic stop as an opportunity to test a theory he had about police brutality, and
What I was hoping for them to do was tell me, Drop the gun! Back away from the firearm! Get on the ground! Turn around! And it was going to be an arrest, he said. But I was completely wrong.
When Vaca exited the vehicle holding the rifle, Officer Christian Hernandez opened fire.
Soon as I hit the ground, I just attempted to play dead, Vaca said. Its a blessing Im alive.

LOL OW! LOL
Maybe he thought the doctor could sew it back onto the guy. Doctors can re-attach fingers so maybe the man though it would work for the guy's testicle.
Stupid is as stupid does.
He’s aspiring to be a winner.
It’s almost as bad as a looooonnggggg discussion that was had on this site (nurses jumped in to comment - they had some funny cringey stories) about the fact that it’s very painful to have a catheter ripped out while it’s still inflated ... but one problem ... is that some people have a reaction to morphine where they hallucinate and get agitated and get out of bed and walk or run around ... if they have a catheter in, that’s bad. Can’t find it searching ... was a very very funny thread, and cringey.
you never pull a gun on someone unless you intend to shoot them. You never shoot someone unless you intend to kill them. Wounded crippled people sitting in prison have a lot of time to think about revenge.
It was a poor shot but done quickly so somewhat excusable. Next time he may miss the arm altogether and get himself killed before he can shoot again.
Too bad he’s able to see the fruits of his labor.
Well, the cop didnt kill him. In fact he shot the guy in the arm causing him to drop the rifle, or at least lose control of it.
People tend to focus on what they perceive as the threat. Most see the gun as the threat. Shots tend to cluster around where the eyes are looking.
It is not unusual for people to be hit in the gun hand, or for the gun to be hit in a gun fight.
