For close to 15 years, my wingman and third child who never really grew up.
Posting this shameless vanity a day early as it will be a rough one tomorrow.
Prayers needed for a soft landing.
I can't explain it but this helps a little.
Crossing Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

So sorry...just went thru the same withour Abby in September
I’m so sorry. That’s the most painful thing a pet parent can go through.
There are no other words than this just sucks!
A beautiful pup!
I went through same thing last March. It sucks!
Dogs leave paw prints on our hearts!
Twenty years without a pup, how sad for you. Glad you finally figured it out. I have never been without a pup since I was a small child and I am really old now. We are getting ready to get our pup #4 soon. The 3 others are getting up in age.
Oh what a gem ...beagles are such dears. My heart goes with you. When I last took this trip with my corgi Pumpkin I sat with her and my friend and the vet. I told her what a joy and mischief maker she was, how I loved her...until she drifted away. So glad I was with her.
Nothing prepares us for it, but we’ll send prayers and God will comfort you.
Godspeed, beloved companion, Cobi.
God Bless. was it Will Rogers? “ if dogs don’t go to heaven, I want to go where they go”
It’s one of the hardest things to go through, my prayers for you both and heartfelt condolences to you today...
Prayers for you today keat.
So precious. Prayers up for you and for your family. Remember the Rainbow Bridge....
On my long journey home from my mom’s. Wanted to send a last prayer and love rays to you & Cobi. There’s no love like animal love. Be well FRiend.
That is a day we all dread. I have two dogs, aged 11 and 12. I’ll be a wreck when they go.
I have had 2 beagles in my life. Both losses were hard but they lived similar lengths as yours. One was 14 and half and the other was maybe 15. The beagle has the widest range of vocalization of any dog.
