Cam Newton made the Christmas wish of a terminally-ill boy come true on Tuesday. Taylor Austin Deckard, 10, suffers from advanced pulmonary hypertension, and the Auburn Tigers fan was forced to spend his holiday at Atlantas Egleston Hospital awaiting surgery. But the young boy got a big surprise on Tuesday when Heisman Trophy winner and reigning NFL MVP Newton stopped by to say hello.

Big time props to Cam. I certainly hope the visit has as much impact on Cam as it did on the boy.
I watched him at a game once (probably his 2nd year in the NFL). Whenever he would come off the field, he would go to an empty area on the bench, sit, and put a towel over his head. No grabbing a phone to talk to the guys in the booth, no leafing through playbooks or photos of formations...and no interaction with his receivers or linemen, or coach. He looked very alone.
I haven’t figured him out yet, but good for him, making this kid’s wish come true.
Thank you for posting despite my blurry screen.
Good for him. Newton’s interview after the Super Bowl didn’t serve him well in the public eye, but that scene shows a good man doing a good thing.
this isn’t the first time....Newton went to the Halloween party of another dying child a few years ago...the guy is a class act...
Elijah Hughes’ favorite holiday is Halloween, but doctors aren’t sure if the 10-year-old will make it this year as he battles a rare form of cancer. So his whole neighborhood decided to celebrate early, and Cam Newton crashed the party! 2015

I think Cam Newton is a Delta Bravo, but I will commend him if he spends time doing things like this. These are good deeds.
I'm not a Cam Newton fan however I'm old enough to know this to be true: 1,000 acts of kindness are undone by 1 act of stupidity.
Cam Newton unfortunately learned that lesson the hard way. Time for those who still hold his superbowl "interview" over his head to let it go.
War Eagle Cam !
Agree. What he does as part of the NFL is just part of the show. What he does outside the NFL shows the real him.
We could say the same for President-elect Trump. What he did on TV and in a public role is part of HIS show. His acts of charity that go unnoticed or unreported are the real him.
This is nice and I'm glad he did it for the boy...so now I have a millimeter respect for him...
Played at the end of Fox Special Report tonight - very touching - panel was passing the box of tissue around to handle tears....
