A German politician is facing calls to resign over allegations that he prevented police from sharing pictures of the Berlin truck terrorist when he was at large.
Reports in Germany claim that Till Steffen prevented law enforcers in Hamburg from releasing pictures of Anis Amri, despite him being the most wanted man in the world after Monday’s terror attack.
Amri, 24, was named as a suspect on Wednesday after his wallet was found in the lorry which ploughed into a crowd of people at a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people.
It has been alleged that Steffen, who is head of the judicial authority in Hamburg, prevented the pictures being circulated because he feared sharing images of Islamist terror suspects will incite racial hatred.
Newspaper Bild reported that police were able to give a description of the killer, but not show the public what he looked like because of privacy concerns.
Insiders claim he was worried the pictures of terror suspects incite racial hatred.
Joachim Lenders, chairman of Hamburg’s regional police force, is quoted by Bild stating: ‘It is incomprehensible that investigating authorities are thrown such truncheons.’
The Green politician, who is head of the judicial authority in Hamburg, only granted an exception after a call from the newspaper, following a 12 hour delay, it reports.

He was obviously under orders from the murkul stasi. Explicit or implicit, doesn’t matter. The responsibility goes all the way up to the top: murkul.
No, no he was probably NOT “under orders” from Merkel’s government. It is far, far WORSE than that.
He “created” such “orders” HIMSELF, from WITHIN his own warped reality of “good and evil” (evil being a white, Christian, capitalist-socialist, sovereign European nation-state) and “good” being an non-white, non-christian, Muslim “refugee” Muslim (did I mention Muslim) terrorist extremist.
The “orders” from FROM his mental state of HIS twisted mind that CREATES Merkel and teaches HER and forms HER policies towards Islam and the invasion.
He should be arrested and tried as an accessory after the fact.
Fire him. And any in law enforcement upper mgmt that obeyed him.
It doesn't matter. Merkel could not fail to notice that pics of the perp were being suppressed. Whether or not he was operating under explicit orders, her approval was implicit.
I'm pretty sure he's an elected official and behaving in a manner entirely consistent with what his voters expected of him.

I love, part time, in Zeuthan. About 20 minutes south of Berlin in a fairly wealthy suburb. I do consulting in Germany for aircraft design. Because we are all subject to the liberal press we don’t know it, but you would not believe the seething rage of the locals. they are not happy. The Muslim Turks who have been here a few generations are fed up with the imported savages. There is a massive powder keg waiting to blow. And just recently we heard a burgermeister is being charged with a hate crime for saying too many Muslim African children are in schools causing problems. This is going to be ugly. VERY ugly. I hope I’m wrong.
Charge the SJW as an accomplice to the attacks, then.
