Hey everyone. In what has become a Christmas Eve tradition, of sorts, I would like to wish all of those Freepers who, like myself, have for whatever reason found themselves alone this Christmas Eve.
I hope this thread can, as in previous years, serve as a gathering place for the solo folks who may otherwise have little or no contact with others on this celebrated evening.
You are not alone, really.
God bless us, God bless us everyone.
Skooz - having spent many Christmas eve’s with only myself I want to tell you are not alone - ever.
Mele Kalikinmaka! to you from Stuart, Vicki, Zeke, and Sunny! (the latter being our beloved golden retrievers).
Thank all of you for your kind words. It means a bunch.
Merry Christmas to you all.
Santa, can you bring my Daddy home? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmNuYnbq8mA
Hi Sisku! Thank you! Also, I'm glad you said that about "interpretation". I just (wrongly?) assumed that my brother wrote it. He and I never talked about this piece. Where is it from? Thanks and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to ALL Freepers!
This is my 23rd year traveling for my job. I help Mom & Pop retailers close their stores for retirement, etc. This is my busy season.
I have a usual custom of having a pity party on Christmas Eve with a bottle of Bailey’s Irish Creme. After getting sticker shock at the price at the local WalMart today, I put it back on the shelf.
Instead, I bought some socks, gloves and sweatshirts along with a couple of hoagies and mini-pies and delivered them to the homeless Vet that was down the street from the store. I had never been blessed by a tearful man before.
May our Country restore the dignity of our vets again (or should I say, for the first time). God Bless Them!
No, tomorrow.
I personally believe Yeshua was conceived during the Hanukkah season (based on John the Baptist's father Zechariah's time to serve in the Temple) and how far along Elizabeth was when Mary became pregnant and visited her. After all He said he is the Light of the World.
I also believe he was born during the Feast of Tabernacles, not during winter.
So I celebrate this season for two reasons. The Light of the World was conceived by G_d, and the miracle of Hanukkah.
So Happy Hanukkah!
The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
May Israel be restored, and Jerusalem be a blessing to the entire world. Peace to you this season.
I should have said song rather than carol. The music was written by Casting Crowns, but the lyrics are inspired by the poem “Christmas Bells” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
What an awesome tree!
for anyone who’d like to smile tonight:

That’s wonderful. I always like lughting the candles. And of course the latkes.
Thank you. And Happy Hanukah, or Merry Christmas, to you, whichever you are celebrating. As for donuts, I’m lazy. I just go to Krispy Kreme. Yours are probably better.
Happy Hanukkah!
I’m alone but I am okay with that.
Family plans fell through and while I love my mother, sister and her boys I can do without her in-laws. I must say her husband is one great dad and husband.
So I just had a fine meal, have some old Christmas music playing, lots of holiday candles and all is just fine.
But as I get older I always wonder what happened to old friends and where they might be today. People come and go so quickly these days.
Merry Christmas to all of you. We have such a terrific New Year coming up. God Bless us all.
Prayers that your prayers are answered soon and that you both are spared any more suffering.
I am alone.......... my wife went to visit my daughter and I stayed home to take care of the dogs and the birds.
I wish everyone a very merry Christmas.
I am never really alone....Jesus and His Spirit are always with me.
just got back from Christmas eve service. I read the lessons. when I got in my car there was a christmas basket! prefer to be alone, like it. lots of presents, great tree. I got those little tiny lights on a wire this year. animals all got treats. I had lots of invitations but I really enjoy quiet meditative time on christmas eve,
My 7 year old daughter wanted Trump instead of a star!
I am solely alone for the fourth year in a row since my Beautiful,Dear Mom died in 2011. Peace and Love to all of my Freeper Family. Love, Gigster

Well, Rooster. Those were EBENEZER SCROOGE’S exact words
just before the Christmas Ghosts paid him a few little
visits! :o(
