I don’t believe the ChiCom’s can build the engine. We are so many years ahead that the F22 will be a legacy aircraft before the J20 is perfected.

Just wait, either Obummer or another idiot democRAT will GIVE them whatever they need to reach parity.

Every time I look at the J-20 pictures the proportions look all wrong. It looks like it is stretched out of proportion

It is a very large plane in some of the pictures. Looking at the cockpit as similar in appearance and dimensions to the F-22, the aft fuselage looks to be larger than the FB-111.

The vertical stabs are too small and even with the strakes it probably would have poor lateral performance characteristics.

The round nozzles also raise questions about thrust vectoring. Combined with the length of the fuselage this thing doesn't likely exhibit good pitch up authority. The canards may be an attempt to help lever it through a pitch changing maneuver but it would still be quite a ride. Sitting as far forward as the picture shows, the pilot would be catapulted around the CG like a skinny kid on a teeter totter.
