the Warthog is the best close air support weapon ever created. Used to be a Warthog in the Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH. The Warthog is actually fairly small with one big bad ass machine gun on the front. The museum is a wonderful way to spend a day if you get the chance. It is literally a walk through aviation history.

that machine gun, actually a type of Gatling cannon, is about as big as the plane. An airplane wrapped around a really big gun. Some good pics here:
