Same here, however it was my uncle. He and my aunt were visiting us. News came over on the tv that Reagan was shot. My uncle shouted “Good!”. Now at that time, I was more on the Democrat side because my parents were Democrats (not the looney ones). My aunt then said “that is not nice to say”. I just stared at my uncle thinking how mean to have said that. I then realize that Democrats are rude. That incident is the beginning what made me to turn to being a Republican and a Conservative.
Its funny how one event can sharpen one’s understanding...I still remember it vividly, decades later.
