Watergate Salad (Holiday DESSERT - VANITY)

In 13 I post a pic of the box(es) I usually get. It’s cheap.

Baking aisle, I think. Along with the marshmallows.

Pineapple (crushed be sure to get crushed) and Fruit Cocktail on canned fruits / vegetables aisle (at my store).

Three things make food taste and taste good:
1. Salt
2. Sugar
3. Fat

Cashews are 75% fat. With salt...oh my. Their fat content is what makes them sooo deeeelicious.
Nuts have protein but...way too much fat.
Oh well, it WAS fun while it lasted.

If you can't find 'Cool whip' (hear there's a shortage) Make your own. It is infinitely better tasting. There's just no comparison. If you've never made your own, you've no idea how delicious whipped cream is. (It's like comparing the awful cranberry glop that comes in the cans to making your own)

Just pick up a carton of 'whipping cream' at the grocery, add a bit of sugar and vanilla and whip for a few until it's the right consistency. You'll never buy 'Cool Whip' or the likes again!

Lord willing, January 2 I begin a previous diet.
(boo-hoo) but it is necessary.

Losing some suet is INFINITELY better than ending up in a wheelchair, hospital, hospice or coffin.

But I don’t know what will happen. Today was Round 3 on this so it’s going well.

I make this every year. Everyone loves it. Last year, I couldn’t find pistachio pudding, so I used cheesecake flavored instant pudding and everyone raved about it.
