Amid all the hysteria surrounding Donald Trump, clear and sober analyses of who he is and what to expect have been few and far between.
Ive already seen numerous progressives warning that Trump intends to eviscerate entitlements. Its as if facts never enter the progressive consciousness. Their opponents are an undifferentiated blob and hold what progressives take to be generically right-wing positions.
What might a libertarian reasonably hope for, while of course bracing himself for the usual horrors? Primarily these: (1) de-escalation of tension with Russia; (2) lower corporate taxes; (3) regulatory relief.

Voters finally got a nominee who loves America and is NOT ashamed to say so.
Starting with THAT premise... we knew we were going to be on the right road with him.
Agreed. The author refers to an academic study of MARs (Middle American Radicals). I just think of them/us as decent hard-working folks with some common sense.
So the experts are going to tell us all about the Trump phenomena? They’re going to explain what happened for us?
How ironic, since all these so called political writers, all those professionals in D.C., the political experts, media pundits, TV talkers, commentators, were all wrong. 100 percent all wrong.
But now they’re going to explain what happened and why?
What a farce!
Now in this non-libertarian milieu, what might a libertarian reasonably hope for, while of course bracing himself for the usual horrors? Primarily these: (1) de-escalation of tension with Russia; (2) lower corporate taxes; (3) regulatory relief.
Unfortunately this is the problem the Conservative/Libertarian Dogmatics are having with Trump.
They want the whole political ball today and throw a temper tantrum when they cannot get the whole thing right now. When thwarted in their dreams for absolute political purity their solution is to douse themselves in rhetorical gasoline and light themselves on fire to protest the absence of ideological purity.
I guess if one wants to be reasonable about it, the GOPE has given them penalty of reason to be skeptical. The intellectual indefensible part of that position is they wish to conflate the incoming Trump administration with the Congressional GOPE. Trump is not the GOPE.
I understand Trump’s success best when I focus on just two words: Boehner and McConnell. One down, one to go.

The one who wrote this article however said that Trump was likely to be the next President in 2015 already.
Likely? Sounds like a guess. I would assume saying it that way is a good thing as it would ease any future credibility issues that might arise. Fact is nobody has a crystal ball, but some folks do have acute perception.
If this guy supported Trump and predicted long ago he’d be elected, he belongs to a very small group of individuals who not only supported Trump since 6/16/2015, but called the election from Trump *long* ago.
Lew Rockwell is a good guy. His site is a safe haven when seeking some economic sanity.
