Does anybody actually read facebook for news? I personally don’t read face book ever for anything.
Every time I go on Facebook
- 1/3 of the posts are banal political opinions, with obligatory links to Mother Jones or Slate
- 1/3 are posts of the Hawaii vacation of someone I went to high school with 30 years ago, and haven’t thought about since
- 1/3 are cat pictures, memes that reinforce the inane political opinions, someone’s children’s artwork, someone, who I went to high school with 30 years ago, selling cheap jewelry or organic cleaning products.
In other words, although it’s not all garbage in the strict sense, I have no time in my day for it.
