You might be interested in a few brief tidbits about Otis Young, who played Jack Nicholson's sidekick in The Last Detail. I worked with him briefly (non-films) in LA around 1983:

* very nice fellow

* prior to signing Otis for the role, Jack took him to a Lakers' game (Jack has long had front-row season-seats) "to see if I was still the same guy"

* Otis was preparing to move back east and become a Christian pastor

* subsequently I lost touch with Otis but learned he died about fifteen years ago
