Well, from my viewing experience, one guy stored a WWII era grenade in his basement, up on a support beam. The new owner of the house was asked by a neighbor "Hey, did the old homeowners leave the grenade behind?"
A passing news story in the Boston area about twenty-five years ago, since the grenade was still there, and the bomb squad was called in to handle it.
