Pretty, too bad most of the ‘work’ accomplished there in the foreseeable future will be planning the next pride float, feminist outreach, buying up companies with real inventions, and laminating another number on to the iphone rather than any useful technical achievements.

Apple is moving right along on the technical front. Their mobile hardware, including CPUs designed and manufactured by Apple, is consistently the fastest at the time of introduction. The Swift programming language is also excellent, and since it’s been open sourced is picking up a lot of momentum. IBM’s Bluemix cloud server development environment is one of the more interesting examples.
All that said, I’d like to see Tim Cook replaced with a computer enthusiast. :-)
I’ll give them some free advice, given the current Apple product mix: start selling macOS for use on third party hardware for say $400 a pop. Apple seems unwilling to provide a sufficient range of hardware to satisfy a lot of people, and this would be an instant, huge revenue stream consisting of selling bits. Think Different!
