I saw this group mentioned recently in connection with the clinton-haiti-trafficking investigation on voat.

Something to do with the EKTA Foundation in Alabama, which is somehow tied to the Clinton Foundation.

Mentioned here:

More on EKTA here:

Big Clinton Donors( r ) hanging out with Podestas and have there own
foundation set up to help the people in Haiti

I did a quick ‘net search, and sure enough, it’s a group involved in Haiti, in connection with PepsiCo, and promoted by the Clinton Foundation:

America should be contributing to rid these backward third world countries of the governments that keep them in such poor condition, rather than treat the symptoms of corruption such as lack of water.

I wonder why we don’t hear about nomadic tribes in Africa being affected by lack of water resources? Maybe there really isn’t a problem until someone invents one.

I’m 67. Went to roman catholic school.
In 2nd grade we used to collect change in little UN cans for the starving African babies.

60 years and nothing has changed.

Donate to:

1.Local Church, let them dole it out internationally if they so choose, or become part and help make the decision.

2. Salvation Army

Very few of them are reputable, even when they say they spend most of their money on the charity. Many of them hire their family to do the work or acquire supplies and they give themselves outrageous salaries. The last one I researched was touted as spending 97% on charity but when you dig deeper they hire family and friends to do the work and who knows how much they make.

James Robison’s “Living Water” drills wells.
Very good.
I believe it’s Texas- based.

Water.org works with local partners to deliver innovative solutions for long-term success. Its microfinance-based WaterCredit Initiative is pioneering sustainable giving in the sector. All of the projects Water.org supports are self-sustaining, with organizational and financial structures in place to allow communities to independently operate and maintain them. Projects have an active water committee governing the operation of the water system, and users paying a water bill to cover the costs of operating and maintaining the water system.

They seem to be doing well balanced work, not only providing clean water, but teaching the importance of sanitation, on the ground in Africa, Asia & South America. They have involved local communities, including water contractors and community committees. They have established micro-finance programs for water & sanitation related projects. Their use of funds and accountability seems fairly good.

Many commenters to this post have criticized the local people who are being helped by Water.org and so many other good organizations. Some questions for us all.

Have I personally located and accessed a source of clean water for my household?
Have I created a transport system (pipes, water tanker, wife & kids carrying 5 gallon buckets) to get that water to my household?
Have I or my family or neighbors been affected by cholera, typhoid, dysentery, amoeba, giardia or other water borne diseases?

Most of us never think about clean water, other than as a political campaign item. We turn the faucet and, 'voila', there it is. If we are persnickety, we drink bottled water, often with designer labels.

We almost never think of, let alone thank God for, the many people running our local water treatment plants, laying pipelines (and sewer lines) just so we have the fabulous luxury of turning a faucet and getting copious amounts of clean, sanitary water, hot & cold as needed.

We are so blessed!

I think Matt Damon helped start it. He talked about it endlessly when he was guest speaker at MIT graduation this year.

o Keep your Dirty Money out of Africa.

African groups exist who plead to foreigners to quit upsetting their local economy with welfare money.

o Yes give to w.water.org, if you wish to ruin the lives and hopes of local business folks who work on water projects

o Sam Kinneson would scream to move where the water is located. The reason Africans live in water scarce areas is because people like you pay them cheap WELFARE to move to undesireable places.

In other words, keep your dirty money out of Africa and quit sabotaging their local economy with your helicopter junk cash.
