Let kids be kids...I see no harm in letting them believe in Santa Claus...They get a lot of joy from it...
They’ll learn of the real world soon enough...

Agree. My adult kids and the grandkids - ages 15 and 25 - have had the same stocking since their very first Christmas. Stockings are hung by the fireplace on Christmas Eve after we get back from church services and we always put out cookies and milk. Around our house if you don’t believe you don’t get anything for Christmas.
Santa comes sometime in the middle of the night and stuffs the stockings with candy, a funny pair of Christmas socks, lip balm, a new toothbrush, hand lotion, and some cash - pretty simple stuff. Cookies and milk are consumed and then Santa goes back to bed. It’s just part of our family tradition.
My husband is in the toy business. My younger grandkids think he knows Santa personally and has his private phone number.
