I don’t know what your hearing problem entails, but I am entering that age where these problems may occur (I just turned 60). If it were me, I’’d wait and see what the Trump administration changes, whether that’s price or availability or outlook and go from there.

Having said that, as I enter the age of health problems, I have started wondering how I should handle it all. I love my hearing ability, but I also love closeed captioned foreign movies and think I could adapt well to regular movies and shows with the same captioning.

My husband talks, talks, talks, all of the time, it drives me crazy, but I’d miss that if I truly could not hear. I guess I’m saying I would have to be honest about a hearing loss.

The bottom line is, I will pay out of my own pocket for what is important....if I can’t, I will learn and adjust.

I’m not trying to sound trite, but that is a fact. If I can only put back a dollar a week for a 10k fix, I will do it, I may not live to see it through, but I will still be alive to try, and somehow, I think that would work out just fine. :)

“My husband talks, talks, talks, all of the time, it drives me crazy...”

My old boss, when he would get tired of hearing someone yap would figit with his hearing aid and it would squeal and he would say “damn batteries” and then start saying “what?” a lot and the talker would leave. Then he would do something with his hearing aid and say “Huh - I guess the batteries are okay after all” with a wink.
