Try the finger cure.

I have had tinnitus since I was about 10. After reading these posts I tried the finger drumming method. In one minute it reduced the ringing by 90%!!

I have no idea how long this will last, but after 45 years of constant noise, I’ll take what I can get and repeat as necessary:-)

Most people get rapid relief, but it is short lasting and they become discouraged; I personally feel the key is to make sure to repeat anytime symptoms return. My theory— because anecdotally it works for people without nerve damage, but not for those with. I think it is retraining the neural network by some neuronal inhibition mechanism that reduces impulses from neurons that are firing when they shouldn’t be.

Explain finger drumming, is that just rolling your fingers over the desk top or other hard surface?
