Official OTR Blog of "The Big Broadcast" thread:
Longtime radio personality and The Big Broadcast host Ed Walker passed away early on Oct. 26 at age 83. We invite you to leave your thoughts and remembrances.
Ed Walker spent 65 years on the radio. His last program was unlike any other.
The Christmas Season is starting folks, I finally got a few decorations up...
I’d like to review the lineup for this evening but the website has been redone and all you get is a big silly picture of Murray and old information at the moment.
So, here’s to a good show...and getting some Christmas shopping done...
Hi, Vision!
Well, their new website is lame. Oh, well. I’m sure Murray will continue mangling the order of the intro-three shows.
Did you have a good week? I made Chef John’s corn pudding recipe yesterday evening. It was very good, although it could’ve used just a bit less salt.

Yea, great week, was very busy with the year winding down. You?
Corn pudding. Is that a side dish? Funny, I also made FW last night, pork latte...you must try...

Oh, that pork recipe looks GOOD! Yes, the corn pudding is a side dish, like a corn casserole or corn souffle—very similar dishes, all three. It was on his front page until a few days ago, so it’s on the second page.
It was a busy week at work, because our lead production guy was out with family health issues, so I had a HUGE amount of work I had to cover. He’s out again tomorrow, so it ain’t over yet. :-)
How will we know if a show might have gun play?
You taking time off for Christmas?
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Good point, Honey! :-)
Not really any special time off for Christmas. The radio station is giving us that Friday and Monday off, so it will be a four-day weekend. We don’t have any Christmas plans at this point.
If you’re around, can you post the thread on Christmas? I’ll be traveling.
Oh, sure! I’d be glad to post-host the thread. Just remind me. I’ll have slept before then. :-D
I just watched the full recipe video of the pork al latte and laughed out loud at the end when he said it really hits the spot, and who doesn’t like their spot hit? HAHAHA!
Did Murray just say the entire show tonight is about Pearl Harbor? This guy really think’s we’re his students.
Oh, I missed that. We hadn’t tuned over. Pearl Harbor Day. Well, at least he acknowledges it, although I wouldn’t be surprised to find out where his sympathies MAY lie.
This guy sure knows how to run off his listeners.
Yes, he does.
Everything Murray chooses has a leftist political statement behind it. Freedom of the press—yes, good. But a LYING press is detestable to us. NPR, take a lesson (but, of course, they won’t).
As for Americans, citizens of the United States are The Americans. Citizens of Central and South America all have their own countries, and they call themselves by the names of their countries, and they DO NOT call themselves Americans! Everyone KNOWS who The Americans are! Liberals like Murray, or even Orson Welles, cannot change that fact.
Worst show ever!
