I love my alma mater. It was a wonderful school/campus, primarily blue collar, conservative, republican back when I attended and graduated (80s) and went for Reagan huge! It’s changed as most Universities have over the last 30 years. I met my husband there back in the mid 80s and all the memories I have are special. I’m a proud Penn State Alumni!
The Sandusky thing still infuriates me because it had nothing to do with Penn State (his charity Second Mile still hasn’t been investigated and only dismantled to another “charity”) but the Media focused on the big money pay out and the NCAA and BOT went right along with it. It crippled the football program as well as other programs which went right along with the liberal narrative we supposedly abhor.
I’m happy for many reasons but this is definitely one of them.
The Liberals, the Media, and the sympathizers (even those who pretend to be Conservatives), will never keep Nittany Nation down. We have the best Alumni and can handle anything thrown at us. Our football program handled “devastating” penalties (that had nothing to do with the program and everything to do with the current liberal PC environment)and here we are now...BACK!I’m thrilled. The Penn State Alumni Association fought the BOT who caved to the media and liberal narrative. Kinda like Trump :)
As for the keyword crap...small minds and all that.
My time there (adult student, late 80s) was truly memorable and I learned much.
I know it's not good for my blood pressure, but I find that with advancing age my tolerance for @holes declines even further from an initially low starting point .. lol !
