It’s hilarious - but you might have to be steeped in Norwegian/Swedish rivalry to appreciate it. Raised our children to say “I’m sorry” when someone tells them they have Swedish heritage...
Upon reflection, you’re spot on. You’re also nicer than the bulk of my relatives, who would generally say something much less polite than “I’m sorry” when encountering a Swede.
