Jesus commands us to love God, love ourselves, and love our neighbors. Further, He commands us to make disciples of all men.

These commands have no conditions

When I have been in the exact same situation I have sat and had a meal with them. Maybe it made a difference in their life. But it certainly mad a difference in mine

Once, I sat and had pizza with a woman who asked me for money. A few weeks later I saw her picture in the paper. She had froze to death

Now tell me what love is. And it is not what you think it is, it is MORE.

Mal 1:2 “I have always loved you,” says the LORD. But you retort, “Really? How have You loved us?” And the LORD replies, “This is how I showed My love for you: I loved your ancestor Jacob,

Can’t you just see, feel, hear the sarcasm is that, “Really..........” It is almost, go love someone else because this is too hard.

Why is it hard? Because the expectations are so high. It is CONDITIONAL.

My personal experience is the ones who said, “you poor thing..........” Didn’t love me. The ones who said “you can do better than this” truly love me.

And that is God’s message to us. YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS.

Now the second half of Mal 1:2 also is an interesting definition of love. And the usual response to it is - that’s not fair!
