Most activist politicians drawn to the left are drawn there because it affords them the best opportunity to elevate themselves into ‘messiahs’. I'm very serious. They talk about ‘the people’ as a mass of ignorance beneath them, who need to be guided by their amazing and wise selves. They don't really care about ‘healthcare’ or ‘education’.
