I would say that calling Castro’s reign what it was is more of a hand of friendship.

Well, it is the Guardian after all, most of whose staff believe the Castro should be a candidate for sainthood and never mind the dead bodies. Think of the worst, most abusive activities of which all the U.S. Presidents were ever even accused in their pages and you'll find no hint that Castro accomplished them all single-handedly.

Frankly I don't give a rip what any leftwing Brits or any Cubans either think about Trump's categorization of one of the last of the monsters of the 20th century. Every word was the truth. That stands on its own.

Thank God we have a president-elect who speaks the truth and doesn’t try to couch every comment in neutral lawyerspeak. Was there ever a bigger p***y than Jimmy Carter?
